McMinn County Schools is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all students, staff, and visitors. As part of our ongoing facility improvement plan, assumed asbestos-containing floor tile and associated mastic were removed from designated areas at Mountain View Elementary.

This work was performed by a licensed and certified asbestos abatement firm, in full compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. Additionally, the Tennessee Division of Air Pollution was notified as a courtesy.

Independent third-party air quality testing was conducted using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and all results met clearance requirements as defined by state and federal guidelines.

Classes will begin as scheduled. The health and safety of our school community remains our top priority.
